    “Healing with Qigong” – Sigmas Conference Center, 1717 Babcock Blvd. , Pittsburgh PA 15209Qigong has been used for thousands of years as a way to heal specific issues or diseases or to keep the body, mind, and spirit healthy and vital. This workshop, taught by Dr. David Clippinger, a recognized master of Tai Chi and Qigong, will introduce the principles of Qigong, how it is used for health and healing, as well as teach a Qigong set that balances and heals the body and mind.The session will include a discussion and a practice component, and no previous experience with Qigong is required. Anyone can participate regardless of physical ability or experience.
    The workshop will teach each person how to use movement, breath, and mind to relax, reduce stress, find one’s center, generate energy, and create a healthier you. The benefits from the workshop are immediate and palpable.
    This workshop will be a unique opportunity to learn the secrets of Qigong from a certified master teacher who has over thirty years of experience with therapeutic and medical Qigong, including teaching medical professionals at UPMC, Allegheny General Hospital, and the Hillman Cancer Center.

    “Lunar New Year Purification Workshop” – Still Mountain Studio, Mt. Lebanon PA 15243Taoist practices pay attention to the cycles of the year especially the cycles of the moon, the solstices, and the equinoxes and of particular importance is the Lunar New Year Cycle, a circle of 13 moons. Rituals and practices were developed to purify the body and mind to help transition into a new cycle by creating a fresh start unburdened by the residue of past. Still Mountain will host a very special workshop on the techniques and practices to purify the mind, body, and chi in preparation for the new year. The workshop will include chi exercises, meditative practices, and seated qigong. No prior experience is required.
    Space for the workshop is extremely limited, and the cost is $30.
